Accredited Project Management course
My two day project management course has been approved by BTEC / Edexcel as a level 5 Professional Award in Managing Projects. This is nationally and internationally recognised as a qualification. Much cheaper than PRINCE2, and much more practical.
Why might you want this?
- People will be keener to come on the course if they are going to get a qualification
- In order to get it they have to write up three projects, so they will have to listen carefully to everything on the course and then put it into practice, and prove that they have done so. So you will get a minimum of three projects properly run, and hopefully they will then continue to do it right for ever
- You will have evidence that you can show customers that your project managers are competent and professional
- An accredited internal training programme is a sign of a professional company and a cutting-edge training department.
How do you get it?
- Do my two day course as usual
- During the course we'll collect evidence that the participants have understood the key concepts, using mini-quizzes, documented examples etc.
- After the course, write up the next three projects, showing that you are doing them properly (this write-up is only brief; it's mainly printing a copy of your task list, Gantt chart, review notes etc which you should be doing anyway
- I'll approve your portfolio (getting you to add or change bits until it's correct)
- I'll do all the liaison with Edexcel (BTEC) and will arrange for each person to get their certificate.
Common questions
- Can we backdate it for people who have been on the course?
- What does it cost?
- What does level 5 mean?
- How does it compare with other project management qualifications?
- How long can a person take to do their 3 projects?
- How do you prevent people cheating?
