We therefore offer Certificate and Diploma level management courses for groups of 8-16 people. The participants must be from one organisation; we do not yet offer this as an open programme.
To obtain a certificate you must:
- Attend 12 lecture days
- Write 3 assignments
- Read the recommended reading materials between the lecture days.
- Write up a short learning log at the end.
The lecture days are held at your premises or locally to you (your choice) and you can choose the dates. Customers usually like to spread these dates over a year, starting either in the autumn or the spring. The content of these days is tailored to your organisation.
The assignments need to be approximately 1500 words and will be designed with you to be relevant to your organisation. The assignments ensure that the participants have to listen and understand, and then have to go and apply the ideas to their work. Exercises done on the Finance lecture day count as a fourth assignment.
The learning log is a description of what the participant has learned and how they have applied it to their work.
Quality is ensured by a process of second marking, validation meetings with Edexcel, course representatives etc. We organise all of this for you as part of the overall package.

Main areas of Certificate in Management
A Certificate in Management is beneficial both to the individuals, who get a recognised qualification, but also to the company, who can then demonstrate a professional approach to management to their customers. Are your managers qualified in management?
Additionally these management programmes constitute CPD (continuing professional development) for some professional bodies, such as the Institute of Surveyors.
Price: depends on group size and location, but in general a group of say 15 could be put through a certificate course for £14,300 which is only £953 each (plus Edexcel's registration fee currently at £80 per head).
The Certificate in Management is a nationally recognised qualification which can be extended to a Diploma (DMS) by doing a second year with us..
